New Child Custody Pamphlet From AAML

The American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML) has just released a pamphlet intended for clients called Child Centered Residential Guidelines. For those of you who don’t know, the AAML is the national by-invitation-only organization that has the top matrimonial and divorce lawyers from each state and D.C. as their members, or Fellows. To be invited to be a fellow in the Academy, you have to be practicing for at least ten years and be a certified specialist in family law. That’s the minimum requirement to be in the AAML. Tom Raggio and Ken Raggio have been long time Fellows in the Academy. Ken is honored to currently be an officer of the Texas Chapter of the Academy.
This new pamphlet seeks to fill the void recognized by the current research regarding developmentally and psychologically appropriate parenting plans for children whose parents do not live together – – or who will not live together in the future. Since it’s based on national research, it deals with situations that are common in the Texas guidelines, and offers a model that may stand in contrast to the basic default national standard of alternating weekends, etc.
It can aid clients in making more informed decisions about the future of their children.
Ask your lawyer for a copy of it.
If you are one of our clients, ask us for it. If your lawyer isn’t a member of the Academy, are you getting the top tier representation that you want?
